Why study at the School of Management?
One of the oldest established business schools in Britain, the School of Management has a long tradition of excellence in teaching and research and an international reputation for the quality of its programmes.
Our academics produce world-class research and teach on our undergraduate degrees, meaning the content of our programmes always reflects up-to-date thinking in the management discipline. The School’s innovative mix of theory and practice in its teaching are reflected each year in the rankings.
Studying the field of Management involves learning about organisations and the people who work in them. It is both a theoretical and practical subject. There are subjects within our degrees that require creativity and literacy, and there are subjects that require numeracy and the ability to think logically. By taking a degree at the School of Management, you will demonstrate your capacity to use both sides of your brain.
Our degrees will give you access to the latest research into business and provide you with practical skills of the kind that are highly valued by employers.
All three of our undergraduate programmes offer you the chance to work on placement in a real business environment, enabling you to put your knowledge into practice – a real advantage when entering the graduate job market.

Placements and international exchange
The BSc in Business Administration at Bath is distinct from many others in the field, offering two six-month placements in different organisations rather than a whole year in one company. These are real jobs, usually paid, forming an integrated part of the degree and they provide a distinct advantage in the graduate job market. We have a dedicated Placements Team who liaise with employers, arrange interviews and can help you prepare for the application and selection process. You will also have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our international partner business schools for the first semester of your final year.
