The nature of our courses and the calibre of our graduates ensure that they enjoy a high success rate when in competition for employment in industry, teaching, Research Councils and the Civil Service. Many students are employed initially in research and development areas with a high chemical content. Others find employment in allied areas such as marketing, administration, production and technical services. A small number of students use their degree as a basic qualifying level of attainment to enter fields such as accountancy and insurance. The courses are also a sound preparation for proceeding to a higher degree by research before choosing a final career.
