Master of Research in Management (MRes)

Qualifications and durations
Overview

Offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, the Master of Research in Management provides students with a structured introduction to the theory and practice of academic research in organisation and management.

Full-time postgraduate research students on this programme will normally register for the MRes in Management degree, and may exit after one year with the MRes, or at an earlier stage with a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. Students may apply to progress from the MRes to the MPhil/PhD programme in Management, or pursue researchrelated employment in academia, government, or industry. The main focus is on generic management, organisational and business research skills.

Students will have an opportunity to develop a specialisation in a management sub-discipline through option choice and through their dissertation. They will also have the opportunity to develop a specialisation in either qualitative or quantitative research methods.
