Overview
This MSc in Accounting and Finance provides graduates with a specialist route into careers in financial institutions such as banks and insurance and accountancy, but also prepares them for roles in management consultancy, industry, governmental organisations and academia.
The programme utilises and develops your quantitative skills and enhances your problem-solving and decision-making skills in accounting and finance. The aim is to develop an in-depth understanding of financial decision-making, the operation of financial markets, and the use of financial information.
Academic entry requirements
A good undergraduate degree (2:1 or above or its international equivalent). Applications from graduates of disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, economics or natural sciences are particularly welcome. Business graduates who have developed a strong interest in accounting and finance and have shown evidence of good quantitative skills are also welcome.
English requirements
Candidates whose first language is not English will normally require an IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each of the four components or a TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based test), 237 (computer-based test) (TWE: 4) or 92 (internet-based test).
