Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management - DBA (HEM)

Overview

A part-time doctoral programme which combines a rigorous research base with professional development in higher education policy and management, both globally and in specific settings, and places a high priority on the beneficial transfer of knowledge to professional practice.

This programme is aimed at the reflective professional manager who is careerminded and looking for a systematic research programme that gives priority to developing management expertise. A particular emphasis is placed on learning through shared experience. The programme attracts higher education managers from all over the world.

Academic entry requirements

Successful applicants will normally be graduates of an approved university or hold an equivalent graduate professional qualification. Applicants will also hold a post- or advanced graduate qualification. They will have the potential to achieve organisational change within their organisations, or the higher education sector in general. They are generally required to have held a mid to senior position of responsibility in the field for at least three years.

English requirements

Candidates whose first language is not English will normally require an IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each of the four components.
