Conversion/Enhancement year for entry to the MSc Economics, MSc Economics (Development), MSc Economics & Finance and MRes Economics
Overview
- Specifically designed EITHER as a conversion route for non-economics graduates.
- OR for students who have successfully completed an economics programme which is not equivalent to a UK first degree (as defined by NARIC – the National Academic Recognition Information Centre).
- May also be taken on its own as an introduction to key economic concepts.
- Comprises a mix of existing 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate units, tailored to suit the individuals specific requirements and the demands of our Masters programmes.
- On satisfactory completion of the Conversion year, students are automatically eligible for entry into any one of the three programmes listed above.
Academic entry requirements
- A good economics first degree but which is deemed to be equivalent to two years of a UK-based 3-year Economics degree, or
- A good (first class or 2:1) non-economics first degree
