Overview

Our Masters Portfolio consists of a number of exciting and innovative Masters programmes designed to bring students to the forefront of technology and applications in their chosen area. We have built on the excellent research and teaching record of the Department to bring students a carefully thought out range of programmes that encompass many of the contemporary challenges in applied computer science research, design, development and evaluation.

The programmes are suitable for graduates from a range of disciplines, with ambitions to achieve high professional standards in their chosen career. Graduates will typically go on to work as specialist engineers or researchers in software analysis, design innovation and development.

You can specialise in one of the following areas:

As well as being able to choose an area matched to your career aspirations, you will benefit from programmes within the portfolio being based on a common core. This means that you will often study alongside students who have chosen other specialisms, helping you to understand and appreciate the links between these different areas of advanced computer science. You will also benefit from being taught by staff who are active and enthusiastic researchers.
