The Bath MBA

Qualifications and durations
Overview

The Bath MBA offers a comprehensive introduction to the key functional skills that are essential to any organisation. Innovation and integration are key themes developed throughout the programme. Students will learn not only from leading academics but also from practitioners at the forefront of their fields.

The programme is designed to encourage self-awareness, intuition, cross-cultural sensitivity, entrepreneurship skills and a socially responsible and ethical approach to business and management.

Critical thinking, action learning, teamwork, creativity, as well as individual and organisational development and the international reputation of the Bath MBA are key differentiators of the programme.

The School’s small-group, highcontact teaching approach provides a stimulating, interactive and supportive learning environment. Students share knowledge from their own diverse experiences which fosters the cross-fertilisation of ideas and debate on current business themes. The principles of action learning are applied within the teaching philosophy for the degree.

There is heavy emphasis on the output of the degree ensuring personal effectiveness and powerful outcomes for both individuals and sponsoring employers and creating well rounded, critical-thinking managers. The programme has been designed to ensure graduates have the skills to manage in a complex, changing world while also benefiting from the internationally respected research expertise of Bath’s faculty.

Candidates take an in-depth look at their career potential through a dedicated stream of work that focuses on developing managerial competence and self-awareness. They have the opportunity to work intensively within a learning set guided by a mentor to develop critical thinking, influencing, leadership, conflict resolution and communication skills throughout the programme.
