Why did you choose to study the MSc in Management?

My background coupled with my belief that good management skills are the backbone of successful business made me choose to study MSc in Management. I am a pharmacist with two years of work experience in the family business. Working made me realise that enriching my managerial capabilities and enhancing my knowledge in the field of finance would definitely reflect positively on the performance and subsequent growth of our business which is the goal I want to achieve.

How did you first hear about the University and the School of Management?

It was through the British Council that I first heard about the University of Bath and at that point in time it was also recommended to me by one of my friends enrolled on the MBA course at the University.

Are you enjoying your studies? Is it what you expected?

I came here with mixed feelings and expectations. The International Office played an integral part in my orientation and adjustment process which went smoothly. Looking back, I can say with confidence that I enjoyed this year despite all the stress and work. For me gaining knowledge is of prime importance but equally so is the exposure to other cultures and interaction with people of different backgrounds. Also, the MSc in Management offers a diverse range of modules which opened my eyes to the various aspects of the business world.

What is it like to study at Bath?

Coming from a capital city, I was a bit surprised when I first came to Bath because I thought it was too small for me. However, it was not long before I fell in love with it because of its beauty and heritage. Moreover, almost everything is within walking distance and you feel right at home in no time. This reflected positively on my academic performance.

What do you plan to do when you graduate?

I will return to my country where I will put to good use the skills and knowledge gained from my stay at Bath to reinvent the family business and create a chain of pharmacies.

Would you recommend this programme to others?

I am sure that when completing this programme I will be equipped with the appropriate and adequate tools that will help me chart a successful business path. With no doubt I believe others will feel the same when attending this course.
