Overview
Renowned internationally as providing high quality distance learning, the Sport and Exercise Medicine programme has been redeveloped to include enhanced learning facilities and a virtual learning environment, SEM Online. This provides students with online communications, a virtual clinic and access to digital resources in addition to the flexible study and expert teaching. Comprehensive learning materials and hands-on clinical teaching are also provided, and students participate in a clinical attachment to increase their knowledge and skills.
The programme is designed to provide relevant knowledge for doctors involved, or wishing to be involved, in the full or part-time management of recreational and elite athletes. Practical skills are developed that can be applied to both primary and specialist care.
Academic entry requirements
Qualified medical doctors from anywhere in the world.
English requirements
IELTS 6.5 (with not less than 6.0 in each of the four components).
TOEFL 580 (paper-based test) or 237 (computer-based-test) with a score of not less than 4 in the TWE or 92 (internet-based test) with not less than 21 in each of the components.
