Fees & finance

How much is studying going to cost?

These pages tell you about costs if you are coming to university in 2008.

Fees for 2008
Tuition fees cover the costs of your academic studies. How much you will pay depends on whether you are a home/EU student or an overseas student. Tuition fees for home and EU students will be £3,145 for most of our courses. Visit our Student Finance Office for updates. Information on fees and finance for overseas students is available from our International Office.

Will I be Home or Overseas
If you're not sure whether you will be classed as a home or overseas students go to our Fee Status page.

Living Costs
Besides paying fees you will also need to think about the cost of accommodation and other living expenses including the cost of books, equipment and materials. Our Student Money Service provides extensive information about living expenses and budgets.

Can I get any help with paying for fees and living expenses?

Grants and Loans
Many UK students are entitled to grants to help towards the cost of fees and are able to take out student loans to help cover other costs. Find out more from the Department for Education and Skills at www.dfes.gov.uk/studentsupport/.

In addition to Government support the University of Bath is offering a range of bursaries and scholarships. To find out more go to our quick guide or for greater detail our Fees & Funding page.
