Mature Students
The University welcomes applications from mature students. Our Admissions Tutors are experienced in assessing applicants from a variety of backgrounds. You will normally be expected to have evidence of recent academic achievement but we would advise you to contact the department before applying. However you will need to apply through UCAS.
Mature students may experience the transition to University in many different ways compared to the majority of younger students. Both the University and the Students' Union support services provide information, advice and support for mature students. The Students' Union AWARE centre publishes a Mature Students Guide every year.
