Pre-departure briefings
Each summer the International Office organises a series of pre-departure briefings for students who will be coming to the University of Bath. We'll be going to Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand for Pre-departure visits between now and the end of August. For more details click here.
The briefings go over the basic arrangements you should take care of before, during and shortly after your journey to the UK. Parents or partners are welcome to come too! We hope to have some alumni or current students present so that you can also get their perspective on coming to the UK and studying at the University of Bath.
All students who are nationals of the countries we visit, or domiciled in these countries and hold offers of admission will be sent an invitation.
Please do not worry if we are unable to visit your country, or you are unable to make it to a briefing. We will be keeping in contact with you via our e-newsletters throughout the summer. All the information you need is also in our International Students' Handbook (which you should receive in the post) in the online version of the Handbook and in our online pre-departure briefing.
