Free Heathrow Airport Collection
'Meet & Greet' Bus Service
There will be a University bus service from Heathrow Airport direct to the University on during the arrivals week in September 2009 (dates to be confirmed). Our representatives will meet you at the University and take you directly to your residence. The journey will take approximately two and a half hours. Places are free but you must reserve a place.
Please note that you should arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before departure. Therefore, your arrival time at Heathrow should be at least 2 hours before the bus departure time to allow for luggage collection, visa, immigration and passport controls etc.
Saturday arrivals are recommended.Who will meet me?
University helpers, wearing blue t-shirts, will be waiting to meet you at the “Meeting Point.” They will be available, at Terminal 3 in the “Arrivals” lounge.
Arriving at a different terminal?
It is possible to take a free airport train to the Terminal 3 “Meeting Point”, this will take approximately 10 minutes.

Luggage Allowance:
Space is extremely limited on the coaches. The luggage allowance per person is as follows:
- Two medium suitcases (a medium suitcase is 70 x 53 x 24 cm or smaller).
- OR one large suitcase (any case larger than 70 x 53 x 24 cm).
- AND your hand luggage (whatever hand luggage you had on the plane).
Other important information:
- Places must be reserved in advance.
- This service operates only on the times that are specified. If you arrive at any other time you will be responsible for your own transport to the University. If your flight is delayed, then the bus won't wait for you. However, we will endeavour to ensure that you have a place on the next available service.
- For family members travelling with students, only 2 extra places per student will be made available.
