Pre-Departure Briefings Well Under Way

It is that time of year again when staff from the International Office visit a number of countries to meet students preparing to set off for Bath.  Andy Howman, Head of the International Office, has recently returned from Thailand and Japan, where he was helped by alumni and current students, who were happy to share their experiences with the new students.  At present Jo Power, International Officer, is also in Asia, conducting briefing sessions there.

If you have applied to the University of Bath but we are unable to offer a briefing in your country you will be reassured to know that all of the information covered in the briefing session is in our International Student Handbook, copies of which are sent to all international students who accept an offer of admission.  The handbook is also available on-line (http://www.bath.ac.uk/international/handbook/index.html).  If you have yet to accept an offer of admission for entry this but intend to come to Bath you should register your acceptance as soon as possible.  The final stages in the process (such as applying for accommodation and degree programme registration) are only possible once an offer has been formally accepted.

If you missed our specific Bath briefings you may wish to contact your local British Council offices, as many of them offer generic pre-departure briefings for UK bound students. You can find your local office at:

We look forward to seeing you in Bath!
