Internationalisation Seminar held in July
The first seminar on the Internationalisation of Higher Education was held on the 4th of July 2007 at the University of Bath. The seminar was organised by EdD student Joanna Al-Youssef and hosted and supported by the Department of Education.
The event explored areas related to international policy in higher education institutions and international students’ issues. The topic is extremely important for the University of Bath at this time, as it implements its international strategy. Presenters and attendees included academics and research students, as well as policy makers and managers from the University of Bath and other universities in the UK and abroad. There was a lot of positive feedback and the outcome of the seminar was the creation of a research network group that will further analysis and discussion in the areas covered. It is hoped that this will be the first in a series of seminars exploring the issues surrounding the internationalisation of higher education.
