BUIS
Bath University Islamic Society (BUIS) is open to all (Muslim or non-Muslim). With its multi-cultural members, BUIS is committed to supporting all Muslim students at Bath and aims to increase public awareness of Islam.
Every Thursday in the prayer room BUIS organises the Quranic circle. Every Friday during term time, BUIS holds a congregational prayers on campus. Over the year BUIS holds several events:
  • The weekly food feast during Ramadhan
  • An end of year barbecue
  • Talks and video films on current issues and sporting events

Living in Bath

Religion & Faith

In the UK there is freedom to follow any religion and any faith. The largest faith community is Christian, and there are good relationships between the major religions. The vibrant international community at the University offers great opportunities for meeting people of your religion - and others.

University of Bath Chaplaincy

The Ecumenical Chaplaincy is located on campus and welcomes people of all faiths or none.

Christian

Details of all local churches are available on the Chaplaincy website. There are also a variety of Christian student societies.

Muslim

There is prayer room on campus, with washing facilities, in Norwood House, level 4.1. There is also a University Islamic Society (see right).

Hindu
Jewish

There is a Jewish Society in the Students' Union. Email: zes20@bath.ac.uk.
