All you need to know about the UK, the University and the City of Bath

Welcome!

We wish you a warm welcome to the University of Bath and hope that you will have an enjoyable and enriching experience as a student here.

Coming to study in the UK is an exciting experience, with opportunities to broaden your academic, social and cultural horizons and enhance your career potential.

It can also be a challenging experience, especially when making arrangements to leave your country and adjusting to a new way of living and studying when you arrive here. The International Student Handbook will help you with this and offers a wide range of practical information, answering many of your questions as you prepare for your studies and when you arrive at the University. It will also be useful throughout your stay in Bath, so please bring it with you. The handbook and other useful information is also on the International Office website www.bath.ac.uk/international which is regularly updated. At the University of Bath, we aim to give you a high level of support.

Staff in the International Office, the Students’ Union and support services across the campus can offer you advice on a wide range of issues and are always here to help. If you have any questions or concerns please email: International-student-advice@bath.ac.uk We look forward to meeting you when you arrive. Nicola Peacock, International Student Support Manager, Jessica Scott, Rebecca Bruce and Aste Dahl, International Student Advisers (ISAs)

The complete International Student Handbook 2008-2009 is available for downloading and printing. It is in PDF format, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
