Before you leave home
Checklist
- Check your immigration requirements
- If you need one, apply for a student visa/entry clearance
- Apply for accommodation
- Register online and arrange to pay fees
- Have medical checks, vaccinations and a chest x-ray
- Order travellers cheques or enough £ sterling (GBP) for your first week
- Arrange travel insurance
- Budget for your time in the UK - airfares, tuition fees, living and other expenses
- Pack suitable clothes for your first few weeks
- Check your baggage allowance and make shipping arrangements
- Register for the University bus from Heathrow or plan other transport to Bath
