Private Sector Accommodation
Before you rent private accommodation it’s best to see it first and to discuss the contract with the landlord. By law a landlord must provide a tenant with written information about the dates of the tenancy, the rent and when you pay it.
How to find a flat
The Accommodation Office has up-to-date lists of self-catering lodgings, bedsits, flats and houses for rent. Advertisments for private sector accommodation also appear regularly at the university's noticeboard. The Accommodation Office puts landlords and students in touch with each other, but doesn’t visit private properties and so doesn’t guarantee quality.
