All new full-time undergraduate students studying at the Claverton campus are guaranteed accommodation on campus for their first year of study once they accept an offer to study at Bath, if they return their application form by the due date.
All new full-time postgraduate overseas fees payers are guaranteed University accommodation for up to one academic session once they accept an offer to study at Bath, if they return their application form by the due date.
What's it like?
All of our accommodation is in self-catering flats located on the University campus or very close to it. Students' rooms are arranged in groups around a communal kitchen. Both single sex and mixed kitchen groups are available, and students will have the opportunity to indicate a preference for mixed or non-mixed groups and a standard, large or en-suite room.
Accommodation on campus is all within a five-minute walk of all the facilities including your teaching rooms.
All our off-campus residences are within a short walk of the main shopping areas in the city centre and on a direct bus route to the University.
Guaranteed accommodation for all new international students
University accommodation is particularly important in your first year when you are getting used to a new environment and making new friends.
We guarantee accommodation either on campus or in the city centre for all first year undergraduates and all postgraduate overseas fees payers who are studying at the Claverton campus.
Where are the residences?
On campus all residences are within 5-10 minute walk of the academic buildings. The majority stretch across the northern boundary and many enjoy lovely rural views.The off campus complexes are all conveniently located in the city centre close to the shops and restaurants. Direct buses run frequently until 2.00am during term-time.
What choice will I have?
We offer a broad range of rooms to suit all budgets and over 55% have individual en-suite facilities. All residences are organised with 5-13 study bedrooms grouped around a communal kitchen and are all self-catering. You can select all male or female kitchen groups if you prefer.
Will I have a data connection?
All residences are networked to the University campus LAN, allowing students to connect to their own computers.
What about welfare and security?
Resident tutors live in each complex and are available to give advice and guidance. They help foster a good and secure living environment and also organise social activities to help you meet each other.
Can you offer me family accommodation?
If you are bringing your family with you we advise you to come to the University by yourself at first to secure suitable accommodation. We have a limited number of family flats in the off-site complexes or you can choose to live in privately rented accommodation.
