University of Bath Foundation Year
The University of Bath is one of the leading universities in the UK with a first
class reputation for both teaching and research. It has three faculties:
Science, Engineering and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences and
two schools: Management and Health, and has over 12000 students including
9000 undergraduates. This year the University of Bath has again been
ranked in the top ten of the UK universities by The Times newspaper
for the 5th time in seven years. The 'Times Good Universities Guide'
is widely held as authoritative within higher education.
The University
is situated in the historic and world heritage City of Bath only
90 minutes by train from London.
The University of Bath's Foundation
Year programme has been successfully running since 1998. It is delivered
at two Colleges: City of Bath College and Wiltshire College.
The Foundation Year is the Year 0 component of an undergraduate degree at the
University of Bath. It is a full-time, one-year programme which provides a high
standard and an appropriate academic background for degree entry at the University
of bath or elsewhere.
The Foundation Year provides an excellent opportunity for students to adapt
to the higher education system and prepares students for entry to a University
undergraduate degree.
