Undergraduate admissions for October 2009 entry
The Department of Biology and Biochemistry is strongly committed to teaching and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. The quality of our teaching has been recognised with top marks (24 out of 24) in the Quality Assurance Agency review of teaching quality in molecular and organismal biosciences.
We have excellent facilities for undergraduate teaching. These include purpose-designed laboratories and lecture theatres.

Opportunity
We offer three types of programme all of which are attractive to employers and PhD supervisors:
3 year BSc: A fast track route that fully prepares you for a career in the Biosciences, including careers in research, administration, management or teaching.
4 year BSc: A route that offers you the opportunity to explore the subject more before graduation by extending your degree through placement experience.
4 year MBiol/MBiochem: A route that enables you to develop in a specialist area of Bioscience and enhance your research experience through research-based placement and through specialist units.
